Samhain Celebration

Sunday Evening October 30^th  At 7pm

Samhain (pronounced Sah-wen in Irish, or Sah-ven in Scots) is a celebration of the ancestors and the last of the three harvest festivals celebrated by Pagans. It is a celebration of thanks and remembrance, and considered by all Pagans to be the start of the New Year. As such, we ask nothing of the Gods during the service, but offer gratitude and praise for all that we have received in the past year. It is the bst time of the year for divination’s the veil between the worlds is extremely thin, and we have the aid of our ancestors in seeing what is to come. 

We cast a Circle in the traditional manner, honoring the 4 Elemental Powers and the Goddess and God to hold our energy within and to keep negative influences out. After that we are cleansed by smudging (with incense) and spurging (with sprinkled water) and a doorway is "cut’ open so those who are now prepared can enter the sacred space of the Circle. The door is closed behind us and we are then in a place ‘between worlds". In this place, we make our Magick (yes…that’s how it’s spelled ). We can share a meditation, chant, sing, dance, praise, tell stories, celebrate by reading the Samhain Rites, remembering the ancestors and doing our own Magick to see what Talismans will bless us in the New Year. After this, we will share apple bread and pomegranate juice as symbols of life and death (another doorway into another life), both necessary for any harvest, and representations of the full cycle of the year. 

Samhain Night is filled with Light, gratitude, joy, Magick,and is a celebration of our continuing life on the Great Wheel and our relationship with our Gods who are part of all life.

We ask that everyone brings something for Potluck. As well if you can bring a couple of cans of something for the local food bank as an expression of gratitude for blessings received during the past year. OR cans and bags of dog and cat food for a local shelter would also be an appropriate offering as Samhain is one of the 4 "wild nights’ of the Pagan year and Familiars often join the Coven Rites. (EXPECTO PATRONUS!!!)

An-Ra is a beautiful, gentle and loving system of healing that was brought to the directors of Pathways through their own personal experiences as well as the information channeled from their guides. The healers learn to draw upon the unconditional love of mother earth with the Divine Compassion, Understanding, Wisdom and Forgiveness of Source, and to direct this energy from their hearts into the person receiving the healing. During this evening of healing the participants will learn how they can co create their own healing, there will be an energy circle, powerful guided meditation and individual An-Ra Energy work by the certified An-Ra Healers.

For cancellations 2 or more days prior to the start of the class, 100% of the required deposit will be refunded.

Less than 2 days prior to and up to completion of 25% of the program, 25% of the class will be refunded.

We will hold all deposits and tuition and apply them  for the next class offering or towards another class if the student chooses.
